Butterfly Data crowned SAS Hackathon Grand Champion winner

We are absolutely thrilled to share that Butterfly Data has been named the Grand Champion Winner of the SAS Hackathon 2024, announced live last week at SAS Innovate in Orlando.

This year’s hackathon was a global showcase of innovation, with 145 teams representing 71 countries and involving an incredible 1,743 participants. To emerge as the top team among such a talented and diverse group is both an honour and a testament to the power of our solution and our Butterfly team.

Our winning entry, which focused on AI-powered trusted data, tackled one of today’s biggest data challenges: ensuring transparency, reliability, and accountability of data to mitigate the spread of misinformation. You can read more about our approach and the impact it delivers in our full case study here.

It was a proud moment for all of us to watch consultant Yash Yeola take to the stage in Orlando to accept the award, representing not only our team’s hard work, but also our long-standing commitment to innovation, trust, client value and using data for good.

As a SAS Gold Partner, amongst other technology alliances, we continue to push boundaries with custom solutions that solve real problems across industries, in order to put reliable ‘data behind every decision’.

A huge thank you to SAS for hosting such an inspiring global event, and congratulations to all the teams who participated. We look forward to the next Hackathon challenge!
